Letter from the CEO, Anthony Brown - Q1 2023

January 12, 2023

Dear Colleagues, Shareholders, and Supporters of AMPD Ventures Inc.,

Let me begin by saying that I am immensely proud of what the teams at AMPD Technologies Inc. and Departure Lounge Inc. have accomplished during 2022 and though there may still be major challenges ahead, I believe the value created in AMPD Ventures in 2022 far outstrips our current market cap and as you take the time to look at these accomplishments, I think you will agree.

I would also like to thank all the existing and future investors and supporters of AMPD Ventures Inc. for their continued support. As we move into 2023, I thought I would send out an email that summarizes our achievements during 2022 and provides some insights into where we are headed in 2023. As you may know, we have faced some challenges over the past twelve months, but I am confident that we are well-positioned to succeed in the long term.

At the end of 2021, AMPD raised capital with the promise of a) establishing the Departure Lounge, incorporating the largest, highest resolution volumetric capture stage in the world, and b) having AMPD Technologies launch AMPD Virtual Studio as a next-generation infrastructure platform designed to handle any kind of digital content creation in three countries and two continents.

Well, at SIGGRAPH 2022, the premier conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques, which was held in Vancouver in 2022, we welcomed over 700 industry professionals to the Departure Lounge studio in Vancouver to see the capture stage first hand, and demoed AMPD Virtual Studio every hour on the hour at our booth on the show floor, showcasing the platform that is now operational in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam.

I believe that week in August was a watershed moment for AMPD and I could not be prouder of the teams at Departure Lounge and AMPD Technologies for fulfilling such an ambitious mandate and doing it in front of the biggest names in the industry.
Since SIGGRAPH, we have successfully onboarded our first customers of AMPD Virtual Studio, with Tippett Studio choosing AMPD Virtual Studio as it expands its operations into Toronto, Canada. Tippett Studio, based in Berkeley, California, is using the LA AMPD Pod for its operations in California, and a new AMPD Pod in Toronto to service the new studio there.

Departure Lounge got its first paid customer engagements, including with renowned electronic music record label Monstercat and artist WHIPPED CREAM to begin work on the world's first fully immersive music video. We showed a teaser of that project at the Vancouver International Film Festival to great acclaim. Departure Lounge continues to book multiple contracts for music video production, Metaverse-related creative projects, and Indigenous creative projects such as Indigenous Fashion Week. To date, Departure Lounge has generated over $300K in bookings across stage time, volumetric processing, and creative services since opening its doors in September. The company was recently featured on CBC News with journalist Anita Bathe being turned into a hologram (see the video in the link below).

Below this letter, we have included some links to videos that get into further details on the accomplishments of 2022 with interviews with me, James Hursthouse, and Adam Rogers, including independent media reports such as the feature on the CBC mentioned above.

Please take some time to peruse them and learn more about what the team at AMPD Ventures did last year.

Again, I am very proud of the hard work and dedication of our team, and I am confident that, with their continued efforts, we will be able to achieve our goals and deliver value to our shareholders.

Thank you for your support and confidence in the company. I look forward to the future and the opportunities it brings.

Wishing you all the best for a healthy and prosperous 2023!

Sincerely,

Anthony Brown
