Now, as a member of Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster, AMPD is applying its expertise in high-performance computing, intensive data management, processing, and visualization to benefit a broader cross-section of industry partners and projects.

The Challenge Ahead

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, you are a Marketing “swiss army knife” drawing from a broad set of skills that you’re constantly sharpening and expanding. The primary responsibility of the Product Marketing & Communications Specialist is to help develop and manage messaging and communications relating to AMPD’s current and future product range to customers, partners and other stakeholders.

An additional component to the role involves managing the narrative we present as a public company to investors about the company in general.

The ideal candidate will be a creative yet detail oriented individual, who can identify the error in this sentence, and ensure its not included in a final, published job description.

What You’ll Accomplish as Product Marketing & Communications Specialist:

Product Marketing

  • Develop engaging, attractive, and innovative product marketing materials and strategies across the entire media mix that convey the benefits of AMPD’s products and services to customers, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Develop a range of customer-targeted promotional materials, leading the development of company websites, presentations, advertising, conference and trade show materials.
  • Be responsible for product announcements and promotion

Company Communications

  • Develop and promote consistent and positive internal and public perceptions of the organization through engaging media and communication tools.
  • Assist with the management of corporate fundraising activities, and ensure that all communications are accurate, timely and appropriate

Product Development | Go To Market

  • Follows instructions around the process of origination of new products and services in concert with AMPD management, customer needs and business model
  • Responsible for doing market analysis / customer product fit
  • Help originate branding, materials and messaging relating to product and product benefits
  • Coordinates consulting firms to perform research or other applicable studies or support

Your Track Record will Include:

  • Hands-on experience in creative design software for print and web including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator / Photoshop / Premiere)
  • Experience using Hootsuite and other social media channels to convey a company’s products and services
  • Experience in Wordpress or other web backend platforms
  • Impeccable technical and creative writing skills
  • An understanding of the difference between Gb and GB
  • The ability to speak to AMPD’s target sectors - e.g. knows how to communicate with a CTO at a video games company
  • Online and offline event planning, coordination and execution
  • Help with the creation of product and company decks using Powerpoint and video

Experience working in animation and visual effects, video games or Industry 4.0-related technology an advantage.
