The team at AMPD has been providing high-performance computing and infrastructure solutions to leading companies in the games, visual effects and animation sectors for nearly twenty years. Now, as a founding member of Canada's Digital Technology Supercluster, AMPD is applying its expertise in high-performance computing, intensive data management, processing, and visualization to benefit a broader cross-section of industry partners and projects. The Company also recently announced a series of Metaverse-related technology and content initiatives, planned to be conducted via a wholly owned subsidiary, Departure Lounge Inc. 

The company went public on the Canadian Stock Exchange on October 24th, 2019.

We are now searching for a Marketing & Communications Specialist to take pride and joy in creating and coordinating innovative, effective, and timely messaging and marketing collateral to our prospects, customers, investors, team and stakeholders, the media, and the public.

The ideal candidate will be a creative, yet detail oriented individual, who has both hands-on experience with digital and print marketing campaign ideation and execution, as well as experience managing external and internal resources for larger projects as necessary. 

Impact of the Marketing & Communications Specialist

  • Guided by the executive team, they will develop and promote consistent and positive internal and public perceptions of the organization through engaging media and communication tools. 
  • Develop engaging and innovative marketing strategies that celebrate wins and milestones and share our story and accomplishments with the world.
  • Preparing a variety of promotional materials, contributing to the development of company websites, presentations, advertising, conference and trade show materials. 

Marketing

  • Develop engaging, attractive, and innovative product marketing materials and strategies across the entire media mix that convey the benefits of AMPD’s products and services to customers, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Develop a range of customer-targeted promotional materials, leading the development of company websites, presentations, advertising, conference and trade show materials.
  • Be responsible for product announcements and promotion.

Company Communications

  • Develop and promote consistent and positive public and internal perceptions of the organization through engaging media and communication tools.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of press releases and other PR activity.

Your Track Record will Include: 

  • Hands-on experience in creative design software for print and web including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator / Photoshop / Premiere).
  • Experience using Hootsuite and other social media channels to convey a company’s products and services.
  • Experience in Wordpress or other web backend platforms.
  • Impeccable technical and creative writing skills.
  • An understanding of the difference between Gb and GB.
  • The ability to speak to AMPD’s target sectors - e.g. knows how to communicate with a CTO at a video games company.
  • Online and offline event planning, coordination and execution.
  • Help with the creation of product and company decks using Powerpoint / Pitch.com and video.

Experience working in animation and visual effects, video games, mixed reality or blockchain and defi-related sectors is an advantage.
